SEVEN FORTY-SIX

It was dawning on a Sunday morning and he'd been on his bike for sixteen hours and fourteen minutes, still seven hours and forty-six minutes to go. Twenty four hours cycling. Solo. The first thing that came into my mind when I heard about Aidan's undertaking was simply: why?

In an attempt to understand the reasons behind the quest for personal challenge I followed Aidan on the way to his own. A way led by willpower and full of pain, in permanent conflict with your weaker self loaded with good reasons to stop. Now. Adoubtful joy, for sure.

And still, there might be no more pure form of reward than embarking on a trip towards your own limits and discovering that they're further away than you'd ever thought.
